Wind turbine doubly-fed induction generator defects diagnosis under voltage dips

Voltage dips are brief but frequent disturbances that can be defined as the most important problem affecting all electrical grids, it cannot completely avoided and represent main priority for industry. This study remains part of monitoring quality energy’s field. Its aim is to apply two approaches signals improving failure recognition in wind turbine conversion chain. One based on combination spectral analysis stator current by fast Fourier transform Lissajous curves technique grid currents. The second approach discrete wavelet which considered an ideal tool this purpose due its time-frequency localization. These defects diagnosis methods have shown their efficiency detection, visualization voltage order develop a control strategy requiring continuity service despite presence dips.
